OBAMABUG / BERUBE-BUG FOR NOVEMBER

OBAMABUG

Needless to say, probably the biggest highlight in the month of November was the elction of Barak Obama for the next President of the United States. In tribute to that occassion, as only I can see it, I've created a butterfly with a resemblance to Mr. President Elect who just happens to have stars and stripes on his wings. As Brandon pointed out, the butterfly, "a symbol of change".

I should be getting these out within the next day or so to the 15 people who have sent in their November bug contribution to my ongoing MailArt call. There's still a few more days left to the month if you would like to receive an ObamaBug in the mail.

NOVEMBER BERUBE-BUG HAS ARRIVED

I just finished printing up the November Berube-bug, ( and yes, I am quite aware that November is almost done already ), although the actual printed image will not be dry and ready for scanning until tomorrow, possibly late tonight since the heat is cranking in the studio. I figured i would post the cut lino as well as the inked lino so you get a preview of what to expect. And if I don't do this now while i'm thinking abt. it and have a free minute, it's not likely to get done until some time in January. Busy is good, busy is good, busy is good.

WHAT MONTH IS IT ANYWAY???????

Hey People, I just wanted to say, "Hello" and let you know that despite the fact that you haven't seen any sketches or prints of November's Berube-Bug, there is in fact one in the works. It would appear that I have a zillion projects going on at the same time, including the production of a dozen or so illustrations that are being incorporated into a stage adaptation of Alice In Wonderland that's debuting in Baltimore under the direction of producer/choreographer Scott Rink towards the end of the month of December. I'm also collaborating with my boyfriend, poet and all around brilliant artist Brandon Lacy Campos on a book of poetry including 20 or so previous never published prints of mine. In addition to work outside of the studio that i would rather not bore you with. So, please stay tuned, and if anyone feels as though I have missed out on sending you your return October Bug, send me a note. I have a few extra printed up and ready to go.
